Reuland combines a quality electric motor with a fluid coupling to form a fluid shaft motor. This package harnesses all the advantages of a fluid coupling in an integral, compact motor frame. This one frame design can reduce the overall length of two separate devices by almost one-third. Fluid shaft motors are available in ratings of (0.5- 15) horsepower in standard NEMA U-frame sizes.

The fluid shaft motor can also be built with many other components to expand its versatility. Brakes and gearboxes can be mounted in a number of configurations to match the customer's requirements. For example, a Reuland brake can be mounted before or after the fluid shaft motor. Gearboxes combined with Reuland brakes and fluid shaft motors offer complete drive train solutions for our customers.
